Jennie’s research focuses upon the ecology of vector-borne disease, with an aim to further understanding of the impact of environmental and ecological variation upon disease invasion risk and subsequent transmission dynamics. This is being achieved through integration of empirical studies, focused upon vector ecology and biology, with statistical and dynamical modeling. Current projects include Japanese encephalitis virus transmission in Bangladesh and African trypanosomiasis transmission in Tanzania.
