- Dr. Pulliam has taken a new position as Director of the South African DST-NRF Centre of Excellence in Epidemiological Modelling and Analysis (SACEMA). She is now based at Stellenbosch University in South Africa and is on a leave of absence from the University of Florida through the end of the year.

- Graduate student, Jessica Rowland, completed a 12-week internship working in the Peste des Petits Ruminants (PPR) Eradication Unit at the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization. More details on her visit are available from the Institute for Infectious Animal Diseases at Texas A&M University, which supported her visit through a Foreign Animal and Zoonotic Diseases fellowship.
- Incoming graduate student, Jacob Ball, completed an 8-week internship at NIAID’s Rocky Mountain Laboratories, where he worked in the Virus Ecology Unit to quantify Nipah virus transmission dynamics in a hamster model system.
